Building A Successful Agile Team

Overview

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools is the first principle on the Agile Manifesto - however, to put people before processes we need to find the right people for the job. Working in a start-up that is rapidly expanding we are almost constantly recruiting and identifying good candidates for the team is a constant challenge. In this session we present our past experiences and ideas on how to hire the right people and minimise the disruption to normal work caused by recruitment. This session will be organised as part-presentation, part-interactive discussion and we expect our practices and ideas to kick-start a discussion on what other teams are doing.

  • To share our experiences in building and expanding an Agile team
  • To generate discussion upon the topic and improve the methods used by ourselves and other participants

Topics

  • How can we find them effectively and where do we look for them?
