Tips For Creating A Self Organizing Team

  • Abstract: In the agile world we keep talking about self-organizing teams. There is also the idea that self-organizing teams are self-created. In this presentation I will show my idea’s on how you can actually help a team to become self-organizing.
     

  • Objective(s) of the session: I want participants understand after this session that a self-organizing team can be build.
  • Contents: I will share idea’s on creating self-organizing teams that I have gathered over the years out of multiple trainings, leadership books and own experience. I will ask team members to talk about what helped them to become a team.

@Rachel I agree it is similar to Deb's session. Both sessions should not be in the same conference.

I have given this talk at AgileEE without the discussions as a 60 minute talk.
I noticed I needed more time.
During the talk I interact a lot of question with the public, that keeps the energy alive.
One of the recommandations on linkedin of a participant was that
"Session keeps your attention till the end and you enjoy being part of it". So I don't think the attention is a problem.

Keeping people energised during a 90 Minute of presentation (even with discussion at the end) will be a challenge. Can this be condensed so that the entire session (including discussion) is 60 minutes?

Or, can the interaction be interspersed throughout the session rather than leaving it all until the end?
